Thomas Damuseau: «It was a bet, it worked!»

Thomas Damuseau remained the king of the mountains through one more breakaway. “I came to the Dauphiné to show off, race at the front, be offensive", the Argos-Shimano rider explained. "It's pleasant to see that I've managed to stick to this goal for the whole week. Looking at the climate conditions like today, I'm proud to have made it. Of course, I'm not the best climber. I knew that well before coming here. That's why I've tried to race smartly, choosing the right breakaways. At the end, I've taken part in five breakaways out of eight stages. I've managed to score points a bit of everywhere. It was a bet and it worked out well. I'm delighted to have ridden yesterday's stage at the front and to have scored points at l'Alpe d'Huez.”
