Nacer Bouhanni of Cofidis added a fourth World Tour victory to his account as he claimed stage 1 in the Critérium du Dauphiné after he found success at Paris-Nice and the Volta Catalunya earlier this year. The Frenchman outsprinted Ireland's Sam Bennett and Belgium's Jens Debusschere in Saint-Vulbas while Alberto Contador retained the yellow-blue jersey.
