Brice Feillu: "It's my desire to defend the polka dot jersey"

“We didn't do well as a team in the prologue but that's not our forte, we knew it before. I went in the first breakway in the first climb. It was a good move but it became very complicated in the finale with a very high speed. We managed to conduct our breakaway pretty well but the terrain was lumpy and we always felt the wind wasn’t helping us. The peloton had an advantage over the escapees there. It’s interesting to have the (blue) polka dot jersey and it’s my desire to retain it. I won’t give up.”
