Julian Alaphilippe: "I wanted one more stage win"

“I’m very satisfied with my week of racing. It’s been hard. We raced seriously every day and at the end I have a stage win and the polka dot jersey. I can be happy with that. I enjoyed wearing this jersey, it motivated me for going to the front again today. I never gave up. I tried to win one more stage today after I secured the KOM. But I’ve paid for my efforts of three days on the attack. I feel good. I’m very happy with my shape even though I’ll have to recover before the Tour de France.”
