"It was incredibly hard. I paced it perfectly for my possibility. To keep the jersey for 1’’, that close, it’s amazing. I’m gonna make a family of lions for my son! Tomorrow is gonna be a different story, with the whole team involved again. When there is a proper GC battle, I know I will lose my jersey at some point."

Van Wilder: “I could push a lot of power on the uphills”

"I’m very happy. After my time-trial in Romandie, I felt confident to do good. I felt good today. The course suited me. The uphill sectors were good for me, I could push a lot of power and then rest on the downhills. I think I did a good TT. I’ll try to do my best every day and see how far I perform in the mountains."
