With Stéphanie Pernod Beaudon, the vice-president in charge of sports, I am proud that the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region is supporting one of the finest cycling races in the world: the Critérium du Dauphiné. Indeed, its mountainous route, including climbs up many passes and finishes at altitude, reveals the outstanding natural heritage of the region with every kilometre covered. With three mountain ranges that cover more than two thirds of its territory, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes is the biggest mountainous region in France. As a result, it provides a unique field of play for climbers and all the pretenders for the Tour de France. The riders will have to display boldness, combativeness and character to win on the Critérium. Much more than a legendary race, the Critérium is a magnificent showcase for our territories and an authentic post card for the finest landscapes of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

A brand-new high-performance collection
The French brand provides its textile expertise to the riders of the Tour de France and the most prestigious races on the international calendar by offering them high-tech products and a tailored service. In 2019, le coq sportif offers a high-performance collection combining authenticity and modernity to celebrate the centennial of the yellow jersey of the Tour de France. Shimano’s origins began in 1921 when Shimano Iron Works, the predecessor of Shimano Inc., was established by Shozaburo Shimano in Sakai city, Osaka, Japan. The first product was the bicycle freewheel, which, at that time, required the highest level of bicycle technology to produce.

By the 1950s the company was producing products such as external speed changers and internal speed changers (3-speed hub). Since its first edition on 12th of June 1947, the Critérium du Dauphiné has been very closely linked to the history of paper, providing a wonderful sounding board for the race through its sports pages.
In the first days of June, the race founded by Georges Cazeneuve will criss-cross the roads of our region, from the Alpine massifs to the Rhône Valley, a route marked with the outstanding achievements which have carved out the legend of this unique event.

France Bleu: on all the routes of the Critérium du Dauphiné
Faithful to its mission as a local news broadcaster, France Bleu will be providing listeners with outstanding race coverage. The Cantal and Puy Mary, Roanne, the undulating roads of the Haute-Loire and Isère, the climb up to Les Sept Laux or also the unprecedented passes and ascents between the Savoie area and Switzerland: once again this year, the mountain roads will offer the pack the opportunity to put to the fore the leaders and certain favourites for the forthcoming Tour de France.
Follow the stages live every day from the finish line, on France Bleu Pays d’Auvergne, France Bleu Saint-Étienne Loire, France Bleu Isère and France Bleu Pays de Savoie.
France Bleu will also be the key broadcaster providing the public with useful information throughout the event: local France Bleu stations will broadcast traffic news and road closure information in areas on the race route for each stage. The historic partner and official producer 
Every year France Télévisions offers unparalleled coverage of the cycling season, mainly on the France 3 channel. Every season, the coverage features over twelve men’s and women’s races, either one day or stage races (as well as races specifically broadcast on France 3’s regional channels), a total of over 160 hours of live coverage every year across all the France Télévisions channels. This programme makes France Télévisions the leading channel for sport and the key broadcaster in terms of cycling events.
The historic partner of the Critérium du Dauphiné and the official producer of the race's international broadcast, in 2019 France Télévisions will once again offer exceptional live coverage of this emblematic race on the international cycling calendar. From 9th to 16th June, the 8 stages of this 71st edition can be watched live on France 3 from 1.30 pm on Sunday 9, 3.00 pm from Monday 10 to Friday 14, 4.00 pm on Saturday 15 and 3.25 pm on Sunday 16.
Alexandre Pasteur, Laurent Jalabert, Marion Rousse and Nicolas Geay will provide commentary, while Thierry Adam et Thomas Voeckler will take it turns on a motorbike in the heart of the race. There will also be full coverage of the race in the Stade 2 and Tout le Sport programmes as well as on the francetvsport website and app and in the news and sports programmes of France 3 Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and France 3. All the stages of this 2019 edition can also be watched live on simultaneous video on the francetvsport website and app and you can view them again for seven days on
