A major cycling region, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes proudly hosts legendary races each year that are essential to the energy and influence of our territory—such as the iconic Critérium du Dauphiné, which crosses several departments of our beautiful region. By welcoming the international cycling elite, the Critérium du Dauphiné has become the must-attend pre-Tour de France event in our area. Throughout the races held in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, riders will compete over eight days on the demanding roads of our region, showcasing not only their athletic prowess but also our breathtaking landscapes. This event also brings a festive and unforgettable atmosphere to our towns and villages—one that is widely celebrated by the public! Cycling is a sport that represents core values such as dedication, perseverance, and pushing one's limits—values deeply upheld by my predecessor Laurent Wauquiez, and which I wholeheartedly share. Once again this year, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region is proud to be the main partner of this exceptional race. A long-time supporter of this major sporting event in our region, the jersey for the best climber features our regional colors: blue with white polka dots! This new edition will also be an opportunity to cheer on our local champions, who proudly carry the spirit of our region. I extend my warmest congratulations to the organizers and my sincerest encouragement to all the competitors taking part. Wishing you all an excellent race!
Fabrice PANNEKOUCKE - President of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region
