"It’s always a pleasure to climb on the podium, furthermore at the end of a stage race and as the winner of the best young rider standings. I’m happy, I’m inside the top 10 of the overall standings and I gained confidence with good feelings for my return to competition. The Dauphiné is an important step towards the Tour. When we arrived, we didn’t really know how we would do. We figured we’d take things as they come. I wasn’t feeling at my best in the first days but yesterday everything went well and today I was up for it in Joux Plane."
