Christophe Laporte: "Jonas had a good time, that's what matters"

"I knew it was going to be complicated but I did my best. After 15-20 minutes I started to struggle, I knew it was a bit too long. I ended up finishing quite far, but I spent three days in yellow and Jonas [Vingegaard] had a good time, that's what matters. It would have been nice for him to take the yellow jersey but Mikkel [Bjerg] had an excellent time, congrats to him. We'll see how Jonas can recover it in the mountains. I no longer have personal goals in this race. So it's all for Jonas and for the team, I'm going to have a lot of work over these four beautiful and hard stages. The hardest part is coming."
