"Actually, I didn’t want to attack today. I wanted to defend myself and then they attacked. I was working with Richard [Carapaz]. And I managed to drop him. Of course I’m very happy with the win today… But I think on a day like today, with what happened in Annecy, it doesn’t really matter. Now that I have the jersey, I hope I can keep it in the next days. I’m in a good shape so maybe I can do it. With the gap that I have now, I can ride defensively."
